General Hospital Special

About the TV Show

General Hospital (commonly abbreviated GH) is an American daytime television medical drama that is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running American soap opera in production and the third longest-running drama in television in American history. It premiered on the ABC television network on April 1, 1963.
The show was created by Frank and Doris Hursley, who originally set it in a general hospital (hence the title), in an unnamed fictional city. The first stories were mainly set on the seventh floor of General Hospital. In the 1970s, the city was named Port Charles, New York. Ever since the late 1970s, most of the storylines have revolved around the Quartermaines and the Spencers.
Families, friends, enemies and lovers experience life-changing events in the large upstate New York city of Port Charles, which has a busy hospital, upscale hotel, cozy diner and dangerous waterfront frequented by the criminal underworld.

Elizabeth finds out her husband, Lucky, is having an affair with Maxie Jones, and is devastated. She ends up going to Jason for comfort, where she finds out that Jason has experienced similar with his girlfriend, Sam McCall and Ric Lansing. Elizabeth and Jason console each other, but then decide to go their separate ways for the sake of the people they love.
Later, though, Elizabeth finds out she's pregnant and is not sure if Jason or Lucky is the father. She later has a paternity test done on her baby and it shows that Jason is the father. She keeps this a secret, however, and lets everyone believe Lucky is the father. Elizabeth ends up telling Jason the truth during the Metro Court hostage crisis while stuck in an elevator with him.
